Major
Milestones Accomplished – QUESCO Systems
In
the past 12 (twelve) years, the QUESCO Group has successfully
completed many high profile contracts for both the private and
government sectors. These have included:
2003
- The QUESCO Group undergoes strategic
restructuring resulting in the incorporation
of QUESCO Information Services Limited
(QISL). This subsidiary company of QUESCO
is dedicated to the provision of the
IT Professional services provided to
clients by the organisation.
2002 – Awarded with
the T20 Contract for the supply of IT contract staff services to the various
departments within the Hong Kong Government. The T20 is covering a period
of 30 months from 1st June 2002.
2001 – QUESCO
became a core member of ITE (Holdings) Limited on the
7th December 2001. ITE Holdings is listed on the GEM and through its
subsidiary companies, has attained a market leading position for the provisions
of smartcard and smartlabel (RFID) solutions in the Asia Pacific region.
2000 – Awarded with the
T19 Contract for the supply of IT contract staff services to the various
departments within the Hong Kong Government.
2000 – Invested in a
wholly owned subsidiary, QUESCO e-Solutions Limited, to develop a suite of b2b
applications to support the Supply Chain Management with a major focus in the
garment industry. This subsidiary was sold to a publicly listed
telecommunication company in early 2001.
1999 – Won a project in
conjunction with PricewaterhouseCoopers to undertake the design, development
and implementation of the Information Management System for the Mandatory
Provident Fund Schemes Authority.
1999 – Won a project
in conjunction with Headstrong Hong Kong Limited (formerly known as James
Martin & Co. Hong Kong Limited) to undertake the application design,
development and implementation of the Operations Department Information System for the
Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) of the Hong Kong Government.
1997 – Won a major systems
integration project with ITOCHU Hong Kong for the KCRC East Rail Division (Hung
Hom Terminus) - the Passenger Information Display System. This project included
the provision of all LED panels, TVs, computer hardware & software,
application development and the installation of a digital data network.
1996 – Won a feasibility
study project for the Environmental Protection Department.
1996 – Partnered with
Sybase Hong Kong to undertake the application design, development and
implementation of the Formation Information Communal System for the Hong Kong
Police Force.
1995 – Partnered with EDS
Electronic Data Systems (HK) to win the first bulk service delivery contract to
the various government departments under an Assignment Service Arrangement of
the Information Technology Services Department. Major projects
accomplished included: Insurance system for the Commissioner for Insurance, a
system for managing the assessment of student health for the Department of
Health, and an Internet-based local employment services system for the Labour
Department.
1995 – Won another major
government fixed price project for the Judiciary. The project required
design, development, installation and maintenance of the computer systems for
the Probate Registry and the Small Claims Tribunal.
1994 – Won a major bid for
the application design, development, implementation and maintenance of the
Immigration Control Automation System, a project for the Immigration Department
with EDS Electronic Data Systems (HK) as the prime contractor.
1993 – Development and
implementation of a securities trading and broking system for the New China
Hong Kong Securities Limited.
1992 – First contract
signed for implementation of the LECCO Business Information and Management
System (LECCO BIMS) solution, a suite of modular business application products,
designed to support logistics, distribution, procurement and sales activities.
1992 – Won the first fixed
price contract under open tender arrangement for the design, development,
implementation and maintenance of the Civil Aviation Statistics System II for
the Civil Aviation Department.
1991 – Won the first contract with the Hong Kong Government to
supply contract IT staff to work in various government departments.
1990 – Securing the first
contract of the Company for supplying a team of system developers, ranging from
project manager to programmer, to work with T.M. Systems (H.K.) Limited on a
project for Nomura Research Institute HK Limited.
